Bram Stoker Award-winning author Gary Braunbeck, whose novel Prodigal Blues was named a finalist for this year’s award, told SCI FI Wire that the book is his attempt to write a modern-day fairy-tale-type novel that evokes the darker aspects of Frank Capra’s films.
